Healthy Schools
The Sheffield Healthy School Programme is a partnership programme between health and education, providing support to schools in becoming a healthier, safer and more enjoyable place for both pupils and staff to learn and work. In Sheffield the Programme is delivered jointly between NHS Sheffield and Sheffield City Council. The team is made up of a range of professionals who support schools to both achieve and build on gaining National Healthy Schools Status.
A healthy school promotes the health and well-being of its pupils and staff through a well-planned, taught curriculum in a physical and emotional environment that promotes learning and healthy lifestyle choices.
