Be Prepared - Before you set off for your interview you should know the exact location and time of the interview and the contact name given on your interview notification letter. Write down the name of the person interviewing and their contact telephone number to take with you in case of emergency. You may be required to bring with you additional information which might include a form of ID or evidence of your qualifications. This will be detailed in your interview letter which should be read carefully.
Be Punctual - Plan your journey the day before your interview. On the day make sure you allow plenty of time to avoid making yourself feel rushed or stressed. Aim to arrive at your interview 10 minutes early; you can always use any extra time to read through your notes. If for any reason you are running late it is always a good idea to call ahead to let us know.
Dress appropriately - You should dress in smart office wear or you may wish to wear a suit.
Be enthusiastic - Let the interview panel know how keen you are. You should also make an effort to communicate this through your responses and body language.
Be truthful - it is vital that all the information you provide us with in both your application form and at interview is entirely truthful. While it is important to be confident and to tell us about your strengths, do not be tempted over exaggerate your achievements.
Research - Read the job description thoroughly so that you fully understand what the role you are applying for involves. It will make it much easier to explain at interview how your qualifications and experience relate to the job if you have a clear understanding of what it entails.
Ask Questions - Feel free to come armed with some questions you wish to ask us.
