Afasic is a charity set up to help young people with speech and language difficulties, and their families.  Their web site has a message board where you can chat to other families and useful free download sheets on a whole range of diagnosis as well as other information.

Targets and Activities Project (TAP)

The Targets and Activities Project (TAP)  was designed to support educational staff working with children with communication difficulties . The site provides activities sheets for working with children at a variety of different levels and across a variety of curriculum and skill areas. The site uses the P-scales and the lower levels from the National Curriculum as a means for organising these documents.

British Stammering Association

A helpful and user friendly website providing “a first point of contact for information and support on stammering/stuttering”.  Information for adults, teenages, school children, under 5’s, teachers, parents, friends and employers as well as information about BSAs services such as the helpline.

The Hanen Centre

A website for parents and educators of pre-school children which includes useful tips and activities, information on training and resources and a checklist to help identify language delays in pre-school children (link to parents – understanding language).
