Speech and Language Therapists aim to provide services that anticipate and respond to the needs of individuals who experience speech, language and communication or swallowing difficulties.
Speech and Language Therapy works in partnership with these individuals and their families, and with other professions, to reduce the impact of these often isolating difficulties on people’s wellbeing and their ability to participate in daily life.
The paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Service works with children with speech, language, communication or swallowing difficulties from 0 to 16 years of age.
Adult Speech and Language Therapy Services are provider by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (STH)
See the STH website for full details.
