Provider Services
From 1st April 2011, Provider Services will cease to exist and services will transfer to be managed by one of the three local foundation trusts - Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Sheffield Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust.
The move will help to improve coordination and communication between hospital, community, mental heath and social care services, so that patients experience more responsive and seamless care. A press notice issued by NHS Sheffield provides further details about the change.
The services listed below will transfer to Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust:

- Care Home Support
- Case Managers
- Centre for HIV & Sexual Health
- Community Podiatry
- Community Matrons
- Continence Service
- Contraception and Sexual Health Service
- Sheffield Salaried Primary Dental Service
- Dietetics including: Weigh Ahead
- District Nursing
- Domiciliary Physiotherapy
- Evening/Nights and Weekend Nursing
- GP Collaborative
- Intensive Home Nursing
- Intermediate Care
- Lymphoedema Service
- Mental Health Support for Case Management
- Phlebotomy Service
- PhysioWorks Musculoskeletal, Foot and Ankle Service
- PhysioPlus (formerly PhysioWorks for staff)
- Physiotherapy including: Falls and Rehabilitation
- Primary Care Addiction Service Sheffield (PCASS)
- Pulmonary and Cardiac Rehabilitation
- Single Point of Access
- Specialist Nurses including: Respiratory, Heart Failure, COPD
- Specialist Podiatry including (Podiatric Surgery)
- Speech and Language Therapy Adults
- Tissue Viability
- Tuberculosis Service
The services listed below will transfer to Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust:
- Brain Injury
- CFS/ME
- IAPT
- Primary Care Mental Health
- Neuro Enablement Service
- PCT Managed Practices
- Sheffield Community Access and Interpretting Service (SCAIS)
- Speech & Language Therapy (learning disabilities)
- Homeless and Travellers Service
- Physiotherapy (mental health/learning disabilities)

- Child Health
- Children's Speech and Language Therapy
- Family Nurse Partnership
- Haematology Service
- Health Visiting
