We invite you ...

23rd August 2011

NHS Sheffield is inviting members of the public to find out more about its work at their Annual General Meeting for 2010/11.

The meeting will give members of the public a chance to hear about what the organisation – Sheffield’s guardian of healthcare spending – has been doing over the last year to improve the
health of the city’s residents and reduce health inequalities.

The meeting will take place at The Circle, 33 Rockingham Lane, Sheffield, S1 4FW on Wednesday 7th September from 2pm until 3:30pm.

Ian Atkinson, Chief Operating Officer at NHS Sheffield, said:

“Despite a challenging year, driven by our aim of reducing health inequalities, improving the health of people in Sheffield and enhancing services to meet health needs, NHS Sheffield has again made real progress.

“Now, as we look ahead to the challenges of 2011/12, we would really like to thank all the staff, patient and public advisors and the volunteers across the city who continue to work hard to improve the health of Sheffield.”

There will also be a chance for people to view stands of some of our key activities and meet with NHS staff and managers, with a more formal question and answer session after the presentations. All questions should be submitted in advance of the meeting.

Anyone interested in attending should contact Sophie Jones by email on sophie.jones6@nhs.net or by calling 0114 305 1089.

Copies of the annual report will be available at the meeting. If you are unable to attend and would like a copy of the report, or would like to request a copy in an alternative format please contact Sophie Jones (details above).

Anyone wanting to submit a question to the formal question and answer session at the AGM please let Sophie Jones know when you get in touch.
