Intermediate care in-patient facilities

Patients that are unable to manage at home and require more intensive support may be referred to a 24 hour, in-patient facility where they will stay over night.

Community Intermediate Care Service (CICS)

Patients that can be left for periods of time to manage on their own may be referred to the Community Intermediate Care Service (CICS) to provide treatment and support at home

Day care centres

Patients that require less intensive treatment may be referred to attend a day care centre at either the Assessment and Rehabilitation Centre (ARC)if they live in the south of the city or the Day Rehabilitation Unit if they live in the north.
