Equality, Diversity and Human Rights Strategy

The strategy sets out a vision for NHS Sheffield over the next three years to achieve excellence in commissioning for Equality, Diversity and Human Rights (EDHR). The strategy sets demanding targets for all providers and processes for effective partnership working with key stakeholders and with the population of Sheffield.

The aim of the strategy is for NHS Sheffield to become a national leader, by achieving the highest standards and leading on innovative approaches to EDHR, including:

Implementing national standards and legislation.
Becoming a beacon site and employer of choice.
Ensuring that the population of Sheffield have equal access to high quality services.
Ensuring that staff employed in NHS organisations reflect the diversity of the population they serve.
