Annual Report 2009/10
Saving lives by reducing health inequalities

Achieving better overall health and reducing health inequalities for the people of Sheffield is our vision. We work with partners and communities on a range of priorities to make this happen. In the last year our public health team has continued to work towards reducing health inequalities and increasing people’s life expectancy. In our revised strategy, Achieving Balanced Health 3, we set out our ten priority areas. They are coronary heart disease, chronic respiratory disease, stroke, smoking, diabetes, alcohol, children and young people, health inequalities, mental health and sustainable healthcare.
