Performance Directorate
Idris Griffiths
The Performance Directorate provides the skills and expertise in information, IT and performance improvement to ensure that NHS Sheffield and its partners
- deliver high quality, sustainable health services for the people of Sheffield in line with NHS Sheffield’s five year strategy - Achieving Balanced Health
- meet local and national commitments and priorities
- pursue and achieve on-going improvements to the commissioning, management and delivery of local health services
The directorate has responsibility for the following main functions:
Performance and Delivery
Provision of expertise in performance management and improvement to support effective delivery against NHS Sheffield Single Integrated Plan (SIP), and business plan objectives, local and national commitments, including co-ordination of the NHS Sheffield QIPP Programme.
QIPP Programme Management Office
Ensure effective co-ordination of all aspects of Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention (QIPP) programme work across the organisation.
Contract Performance
Ensuring effective negotiation, account management and accurate monitoring of all contracts with providers of clinical services.
Information Services
Provision of high quality information sources and expertise in the analysis and interpretation and management of information to support commissioning, delivery and development of health services. This function covers a wide range of elements from information on the performance of services and functions to provision of Information Governance expertise and the provision of health library and knowledge management services.
IT Services
Provision and management of IT Strategy, IT Services and infrastructure to support the commissioning, delivery and development of health services. This includes IT support to independent contractors, such as GPs, Dental surgeries and other clinical providers.
